JOB DESCRIPTION

If you enjoy variation in your work, collaborating, and being involved in both planned and event-driven problems, the Pipeline Network is for you. We own and operate our own facilities, and no one does this better than we do. Today, we are about 160 people divided into eight units.

The responsibility for sewage operations is shared by two units that work closely together. Together, they are responsible for the operational management and maintenance of the sewage pipe network and associated facilities within the city of Gothenburg.

The main responsibility and tasks of the sewage pump pipeline unit include preventive and corrective maintenance of pumps/pump stations and sewage facilities to ensure safe operation of the system. We currently consist of a team of 15 wonderful colleagues who share the various tasks that the position entails.

We are now looking for someone to take on the role of operations technician, where you, together with your colleagues, will be responsible for the ongoing maintenance and operational management of pump stations and parts of the sewage pipe network.

As an operations technician with us, you will work with a team of driven colleagues and primarily focus on maintenance and troubleshooting of pumps/pump stations and the associated systems for our pump stations. To be successful in this role, you need to be creative and collaborative. Working in a team as well as independently is a given for you.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone who has:

• High school diploma with a focus on mechanics, pipeline operations, HVAC, or equivalent education or experience in tasks that the employer assesses as equivalent. Equivalent competence may be experience in managing systematic operations and maintenance of water and sewage or the tasks described above within the field of water and sewage.
• Class B and C driver's license
• Proficiency in Swedish, both spoken and written.
• Computer literacy is a requirement as we work with a digital operations and maintenance system as well as a digital pipeline map.

As an operations technician, you need to act independently based on what the situation requires without needing support from others. You have the ability to make independent decisions within the framework of your assignment. The position includes driving heavy trucks.

Desirable

• Experience in the role of operations technician and/or provided service within water and sewage and systematic service/maintenance as well as management and maintenance of sewage pump stations.
• Worked with the operation and maintenance of pump stations
• Worked with the water bank
• Experience in ongoing maintenance of water and sewage

The position is security classified, which requires an approved security review, including alcohol and drug testing and background checks by the Security Police.

OTHER
